Following a majority vote of the Teamsters Local Union No. 155 Membership, and in a show of solidarity, the Local Union announces that the BC Motion Picture Unions and Guilds (BC Council of Film Unions: Teamsters 155, IATSE 891, ICG 669 along with DGC BC and UBCP/ACTRA), after consultation with our respective Memberships, have agreed to the one-year extension of our contracts with a 5% increase in wages effective March 31, 2024.
The term of the extension would be from March 31, 2024 to March 31, 2025. Beyond the wage increase, all the terms and conditions of the current Collective Agreement remain in effect.
Our goal, as always, is to create a stable production environment, which will encourage companies to choose BC as a filming location once other Industry Unions conclude bargaining, providing gainful employment for our Memberships.
We stand in solidarity with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA as they fight for a fair and equitable contract. We hope that the parties can get back to negotiations and work together to resolve the outstanding issues that are important to their Members and the Motion Picture Industry.
