There were 2193 eligible voters, 1298 ballots were cast for the ratification vote.
There were 1104 “Yes” votes for an approval of 85%
There were 194 “No” votes for a 15% rejection.
1278 members voted electronically; 23 members voted by mail-in ballot.
There were 2 abstention votes and 1 spoiled ballot.
Per article 7.4 of the BC Council of Film Union:
“Once the membership vote has been held the Executive Board will meet and hold a ratification vote. Each member of the Council will cast a vote consistent with the membership vote. Majority acceptance by the council’s members binds the Council to the Agreement”
All three member Unions of BC Council of Film Unions (Teamsters 155, ICG 669, and IATSE 891) voted unanimously in favour of ratification.

Our goal, in bargaining, was to create a stable production environment and negotiate favourable terms and conditions for our membership, which will encourage companies to choose BC as a filming location.
