This is a reminder for those who have yet to complete and/or submit their Motion Picture Safety Awareness certificate to our office. The deadline for completing this requirement is fast approaching.
Please see below for important information that impacts your eligbility to work on BCCFU Master Agreement productions.
Pursuant to Article 12.07 of the BCCFU Master Agreement, all employees must successfully complete the Motion Picture Safety Awareness course before March 31, 2024.
If you completed the course after August 25, 2015:
- Please submit your proof of certificate of completion to team155@teamsters155.org
- If you attended the course in-person and do not have a paper copy of your certificate, please email team155@teamsters155.org and we will submit a request to the Actsafe Safety Association on your behalf to locate the certificate.
- You can also give your consent at Actsafe to make your training records available on the Actsafe Training Portal. Employers are able to search training records only and verify training status as required.
If you have not completed the course yet:
- Click here to register for the Motion Picture Safety Awareness course.
- Upon completion, submit your certificate to team155@teamsters155.org.
- Upon completion of the course, eligible members can fill out the BC Motion Picture Training Society Bursary request and email it to team155@teamsters155.org along with a copy of your certificate for verification. Once Union approval is granted, your bursary request will be forwarded to EP Canada and they will process your $60.00 stipend.
The deadline to submit proof of completion is March 31, 2024 to be eligible to work on Master Agreement Productions after March 31, 2024.
